Rates and Policies

    Standard Rate

  1. M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm
  2. Initial charge covers the first two hours of interpreting services.
  3. Additional service is billed in ½ hour increments.

    Premium Rate

  1. M-F 5:00pm to 8:00am; Saturday & Sunday (unless otherwise negotiated)
  2. Initial charge covers the first two hours of interpreting services.
  3. Additional service is billed in ½ hour increments.

    Legal Assignments

  1. Applies to services provided to law enforcement, courts, attorney/client meetings, and in other legal arenas.
  2. Initial charge covers the first two hours of interpreting services.
  3. Additional service is billed in ½ hour increments.
  4. Any legal assignment, regardless of length, which will include deaf witness testimony, will require a team interpreter to ensure accuracy of the record.

    Mileage Charges

  1. All mileage is calculated from interpreter’s base in Clover SC and will be billed at the current federal mileage reimbursement rate, unless otherwise negotiated.

    Cancellations and No-Shows

  1. Unless otherwise negotiated in advance, required notice for cancellation of interpreting services is as follows:
  2. Assignment length
  3. 1-2 hours requires 24 hours notice.
  4. 3-5 hours requires 48 hours notice.
  5. 6-8 hours requires 72 hours notice.
  6. No shows will be billed at the full contracted amount.

    Payment Terms

  1. Net due 30 days from invoice date.
  2. 10% discount of interpreting fee applies if payment occurs within 10 days of invoice date.
  3. A late fee of 5% will be assessed after 30 days, and each 30-day period following.

    Working Conditions

  1. Some appointments require a team of 2 interpreters to ensure accurate transmission of information takes place. Some factors that affect the decision to use a team are:
